The 2023 3rd Congressional District Rural Teacher of the Year is from Southeast High. Congratulations to Mr. Kenny Watson! The award was established in 2021 by the Program for Research and Evaluation for Public Schools (PREPS); it's designed to celebrate educators in smaller schools and communities, who have a passion for teaching, learning, and making a difference. Mr. Watson will now compete for the Mississippi Rural Teacher of the Year title. We are extremely proud of him and grateful for his tireless efforts!
