Walk for Diabetes Important for SHS Senior

SHS Senior Braylee Fox is driven.  She wants to be the best and be involved.  One of the ways she is implementing these goals is to promote the Mississippi Walk for Diabetes, which will be held on Sunday, October 16th at Bonita Lakes Park at 2:00.  A member of the Debs Social Service Club, Braylee is also very involved at school.  She is the President of Student Council this year, a cheerleader, a Beta Club member, and more.  But despite her busy schedule, Braylee is also committed to raising awareness for diabetes and the problems it can cause.
Braylee's mother was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 17, and it runs in her family.  On September 7th, Braylee's mom died as a result, in part, of complications from the disease, after a long battle of bouts of sickness.  Braylee wants to do everything in her power to prevent another teen from having to experience what she is going through now.  Please consider joining the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi at their annual walk.  Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. and the walk will commence at 2:00.
