The band has been very active this season. They participated in the Veterans' Day and Holiday parades, attended a clinic, and performed a Christmas concert. We are so proud of our talented musicians and their leader, second year band director Jessica Shirley. Shirley and two of her band members traveled to Natchez last weekend for the MS State Band Clinic. Senior McKenzie Barnhardt and junior Ramya Hudnall were picked to go and auditioned for a spot in one of three concert bands led by renowned clinicians from around the country. Ms. Shirley joined them and they all performed a phenomenal concert after only two days of rehearsals! Both students made the second band with McKenzie being second chair and Ramya being fifth. Congratulations, Tigers, and thank you for representing our school and community so well!
